3 Distinctive Golf Courses
Enjoyable & Challenging Play...

The Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department manages two par 72 championship golf courses—The Savannahs at Merritt Island and The Habitat at Valkaria, and a par 67 stretched executive course—Spessard Holland at Melbourne Beach. Golfers will find unique features and challenges at each course along with friendly service committed to making your golfing experience as pleasant as possible.

At Spessard Holland you'll find enjoyable play energised by ocean breezes. Solitude and scenic beauty embellish your game at The Habitat, while at The Savannahs you'll find the challenge of a championship caliber course.

At each of these fine golf courses tips for all level of players are available through individual instruction or group lessons with a talented pro. Instruction ranges from assessment and skill sharpening for the experienced golfer to an introduction to the game for the beginner. Call a Pro Shop for an appointment.

Course are open 7:00 a.m. until dark

These Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries are a haven for a variety of birds, sure to entertain you as you proceed through the course.

Practice Ranges

Driving ranges, putting greens and practice bunkers are available at each site.

Golf Shops

Course logo-wear, top line clubs, balls, bags, golf shoes and accessories are available at well-stocked golf shops.

Special Events

Tournaments, golf events, and fundraisers are hosted at the golf courses. Call for a schedule or to make arrangements for your event.

Junior Golf Program

A Youth Golf Association $10 Annual Membership fee entitles members to age-group competition, special newletters and specially reduced Greens fees ($5 Winter, some restrictions apply). All memberships expire December 31. Private lessons are available. Call the Pro Shop for further information about membership or lessons.
